Black Bear Lake’s Philosophy

Since 1995, Black Bear Lake has been a place where summers come alive with laughter, learning, and adventure. Imagine a morning filled with the sounds of excited campers greeting friends old and new, the smell of the fresh outdoors, and the promise of a day full of discovery.  Every moment is designed to inspire curiosity, confidence, and joy.

Our warm and nurturing environment ensures that children don’t just have fun—they grow. Campers develop essential life skills, strengthen self-esteem, and learn to work and play together, forming friendships that often last a lifetime. Behind every activity is our incredible team of teachers, coaches, and college leaders, all committed to guiding, encouraging, and cheering on every camper.

At Black Bear Lake, every day is an opportunity to try something new, embrace challenges, and create memories that will be cherished for years to come. We strive to make each child feel valued, seen, and inspired.  Black Bear Lake delivers a Sleepaway Camp experience in a Day Camp setting. Our Campers are heard chanting and cheering throughout camp every day, and the pride they take in their summer home is the key to their fantastic summer.
